I also want to say that I am appalled at all of the “men” that have caused this pain. I put men in quotes because to me, a man does not ever sexually assault or harass another person. That seems more like a creep to me. And being a creep is not excused by age, power, political status, privilege, or anything else. Just because you are the boss, that does not make it acceptable to harass or assault another person. This is an all too common occurrence, and I want to add my voice to those that say it is high time that it stops.
For too long, this whole arena of sexual harassment and assault has been hushed up and excused. I want to call out all of the males and tell them to grow up and be men. Men are kind. Men care about other people. And men sure as hell don’t force themselves on other people—even their spouse. So guys, it’s not cute, or manly, or macho to harass or abuse another person. It’s not something to brag about to other guys, unless they are creeps, too. And really, nobody likes a creep.
